Our mission at this Dublin city centre Jesuit parish is that people find strength, light and consolation in our church. We offer a heartfelt welcome to all and and the support of a lively faith community whose source of meaning and purpose in life comes through friendship with Jesus Christ.
We feel special inspiration comes through the missionary spirit of St Francis Xavier our patron, the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits, and the holiness of the Venerable John Sullivan the saintly healer whose remains are venerated here.
If you are new to the parish, we extend a special welcome to you and pray that you will find a warm home here. Please introduce yourself to one of the priests after Mass or call into the office.

Thank you to all who contributed to the successful appeals over the Advent period!
Once again the response to the “Giving Tree” Appeal was overwhelming. David Moriarty, Director of Jesuit Refugee Service in Gardiner Street says: “no child in the Asylum Seeker centres has gone without a gift at Christmas and any gifts that remain will be given to new children as they arrive during the year.”
The annual collection for the St Vincent de Paul Society raised €3,221 for which they are very grateful and which was transferred before Christmas
Following the 1st December Fast we have sent €4,517 to Jesuit Refugee Service in the Middle East where they will be used to put together food baskets and hygiene kits for Syrian refugees
The Gospel Choir/Ossia Youth Choir Concert on 21st December raised €6,000 which has been sent to the Frans Van der Lugt Centre, Bourj Hammoud, Beirut, Lebanon. This will go towards the daily snack (sandwich/fruit/veg) the Jesuit Refugee Service provides the children, who would otherwise attend school on an empty stomach.
THANK YOU on behalf of SVP and JRS Ireland and JRS Middle East to all contributors for this huge response to people in need and thanks also to the volunteers and our staff here at SFX, who put in so much effort to make it happen.
Last week’s Collections, Church €646 Share €377. Thank you
The Blue Bag is for the Church Collection (St Francis Xavier’s Gardiner Street), The red bag is for Share.
